Florence Wanda Ewell Babbel

1921 - 2008
On June 25, 2008 Florence passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 19, 1921 to Vern & Flossie Ewell in Provo, UT. She married the love of her life Herbert Babbel on July 26, 1939. She lived for Herbie, her children and grandchildren.
Known as Gravel Gurty in the C.B. world across the country. She was famous for her pies. She had a great love for camping and hunting with her family. As a campground host with Herbie she made many friends from around the world. She will truly be missed by all of those whose hearts she touched.
Survived by; RauLene (Grant) Taylor, Vida (Steven) Williams, Steven (Susan) Babbel, William (Lisa) Babbel, Joey Babbel, 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by Holli Lyn Housley, granddaughter, Herbie, her husband, Christine Jacobsen, her daughter, and Woodren Babbel, her son.
A special thanks to her friends at Hyperbaric Medicine & Wound Clinic. We will forever be grateful for your kindness and loving care you showed her.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday July 1, 2008 at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 So. Camp Williams Rd. at 11 a.m.. Friends may call Monday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W.
