Charles B. Rowland, 88, passed away June 27, 2008 in Yuma, Arizona.
Born June 19, 1920 in Fremont,West Virginia, son of Charles and Lourie Bolton Rowland. Married Helen L. Keachie; she preceded him in death. He was a member of the Roman Utes and a previous member of the Salt Lake Racing Association. He was a WWII veteran where he received a Purple Heart. He loved music, was a member of the LDS Church and was a retired automotive dismantler.
Survived by wife, Beverly; children: Stephen (Barbara) Rowland, West Valley City; Joan Mann, West Valley City; Rod (Christie) Rowland, Taylorsville; stepchildren: Ron Forman, Kearns; Sandra (Tom) Wyman, Phoenix, AZ; Pam Harris, Yuma, AZ; Tim Forman, Salt Lake City; and numerous grandchildren. Also preceded in death by parents; a brother and sister.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 2:30 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 “N” Street. A viewing will be held Wednesday, 12-2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.
