Bryce Anderson Jenkins

1972  -  2009

Bryce Anderson Jenkins one of the elect of the earth, imaginative, creative, and beloved by all, peacefully passed away at 8:00pm, August 5, 2009 at his home, surrounded by friends and family after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer.

He was born April 4, 1972 in Taylorsville, Utah.

He was a loving and wonderful husband and father as well as a loving son and brother. He loved to gather his family and friends around him and enjoy life. He loved mountains, camping, hiking, skiing, cliff jumping, rock climbing and any other life threatening adventure. He took advantage of life, lived with passion and believed in living in the moment. Bryce touched so many lives and never stopped giving.

He was a successful businessman who was admired and respected by all he met and dealt with. He was a master at developing innovative and creative systems and procedures in his businesses. He could fix or build anything and was known among his friends as MacGyver.

Bryce was instrumental in building three Flowerama stores and a wholesale floral distribution company in the Salt Lake Valley. He also assisted his family and brothers in their farming and ranching operations in Southern Utah and Nevada.

He is survived by his wife Ginger and 4 children Brett (12), Brandon (10), Megan (8) and Miller (1-1/2). He is also survived by his parents, Wayne W. Jenkins, Helen A. Jenkins and brothers and sisters, Taylor Jenkins, Elar Jenkins, Eric Jenkins, Heather Ross, Hanna Jenkins and Scott Jenkins, Tonia Prince, Helena Taylor, David Lee, Annie Lee, Emily Lee and Austin Lee. He was preceded in death by his brother Danny Jenkins at age 5, two infant sisters Lisa Brita and Holly Jenkins and a brother Jonathan Lee 22.

Bryce and Ginger Jenkins were married November 11, 1995 and later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS temple.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 11:00am at the Meadows Ward, 5735 South Fashion Boulevard (280 East), Murray City, with a viewing Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the church and from 10-11 am before the services.

In lieu of flowers contributions for his family may be made at any Zion’s bank to the Account of Bryce A. Jenkins.
